El Casalot, built around the year 1800, was originally the residence of the farmstead workers who cultivated the lands of Mas Gifreu de La Palma. Completely isolated, it is located in Cabanelles, right on the border between the Pla de l’Estany region and Alt Empordà. Uninhabited for several years, the house began its restoration in 2002, carefully preserving each space to maintain its traditional and unique character.
